I really wanted to share my thoughts on the Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm – my all-time favourite lip balm.
I always used Carmex before I bought this lip balm which is a brilliant little lip balm that makes your lips so soft and I thought I’d always stick with that! Recently though, I had to return a strapless bra that I’d bought from Marks and Spencer and so I then had some store credit for the store. I don’t really tend to shop in M&S so I headed to the beauty section and found that they have a brilliant range of brands – I’d definitely recommend a browse next time you are near an M&S, there was Nuxe, Pixi and so many more!
I decided on this Nuxe lip balm (here) and I felt excited to try it because I had heard before that this was a more luxury lip care product. Firstly, it smells AMAZING! Sort of like chocolate orange, very delicious to smell.
It’s described as ultra-nourishing and I definitely agree, that is the perfect description. Once applied, it feels like a thick protective layer that is almost wax-like in the sense that it lasts so long, it feels sort of waterproof! When I apply it last thing at night, I can still feel it on my lips in the morning, so I know it locks hydration in all night. My lips look so much better for using this product, they feel nourished and no dryness, making it a brilliant product to apply before using a more dry lip product, like a matte or liquid lipstick.
I am SO pleased I bought this – at around £10, it does feel quite pricey, especially if you are used to paying a couple of pounds for Carmex or Vaseline but it is definitely worth it. The pot has already lasted so long because you really only need a small amount each time you apply. It feels like a luxury lip product that really does its job brilliantly. Love it.
