I’ve recently bought a few new beauty products that I haven’t bought before. I love the feeling of trying new things out for the first time!
(Sorry about the different background in these photos – I’m still figuring out where I want to take my blog photos!)
Firstly, I finished yet another bottle of Garnier Micellar Water – the one with the pink lid! I’ve repurchased this so many times and it is my favourite way to take off my makeup, either alone or before a second cleanse with a cleansing balm. Anyway, I decided to try the new version which is oil-infused. This means you need to shake it up to mix the oil and micellar water and then use to remove makeup. I have already used it a few times, and so far I really like it! I removes makeup just as well as the original version. Although it does leave a slight oily feeling to the skin, which I agree feels nourishing, especially as my skin is dry, but sometimes I follow with a toner so my skin does feel super clean. But all in all, I do like it! I bought mine at Superdrug here.
Next I purchased the Vichy Aquilia Thermal Serum. I had wanted this for a while after I read Sali Hughes thoughts on it so I decide to go for it! I want to start spending a little more on my skin care products, as the better my skin feels, the less likely I am to use foundation. This serum is supposed to be good for dehydrated skin so I am interested to see how it works on my skin. It retails at around £22 and it is available here .
Finally, I’ve bought the Nars Sheer Glow foundation. This is something I’ve wanted for a while, but the price tag put me off – I didn’t want to spend that much on a foundation I might not like. I had a John Lewis voucher from Christmas that I’d been saving so I decided this would be the perfect way to try this foundation. It cost £31 and is available here. I bought mine in the shade ‘Deauville, Light 4’. I actually bought it online so had to guess which colour I would be and I think it was a good choice, but I plan on writing more about this foundation soon once I’ve had chance to try it more.
So those are the products I’ve picked up recently, I’m looking forward to trying them out soon and see how they work for my skin!
