Favourite Facial SPF – Soltan Sensititve Suncare & The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Moisturiser

I have been using an SPF daily for about 3 years now. When I was younger I always read that the best way to prevent wrinkles is to wear sun protection every day. For some reason I retained this skincare tip and I’m glad I did, because that is the general advice nowadays!

I have very fair skin that burns easily so I love to add an SPF after my moisturiser to prevent getting sun burnt as well as long term sun damage. Over the summer I have been using two different ones, so I wanted to share them with you today!

The Boots Soltan Sensitive Face Suncare Cream is Factor 30 with 5 star UVA/UVB rating. I love this one because it has a brilliant, high sun protection yet doesn’t feel heavy or white on my skin. Applied after moisturiser, it sinks in well and doesn’t have an effect on my makeup and how it looks. The only thing to mention is that is quite thick, so takes more working in. I’d give this one 7/10.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Moisturiser also has Factor 30 with UVA/UVB protection. This one is a lot thinner and definitely doesn’t feel like I am wearing sun cream! For that reason, I sometimes worry that it isn’t protecting my skin as well, but I think I just need to get used to the idea that SPF’s are being made now to be lightweight and moisturising! This smells like oranges and is so awakening, a fab every day one! I’d rate this one 8/10!

So those have been the sun care products I’ve used recently on my skin. I have seen a few reviews about The Body Shop new SPF 50 so I think I’d like to try that next! Please let me know which sun care products you use on your face as I’m interested in trying out some new ones too!
