Today I wanted to talk about the new shades of the EX1 Invisiwear foundation and compare to the original shades!
I’m so excited to share this post with you today! As you may know, I love the EX1 Invisiwear foundation. However, the lightest shade (F100) only matches me when I am using fake tan, so I wasn’t able to get as much use out of it as I wanted to.
But the fab news is, the range has expanded to add 12 new shades. So happy!
So a bit about the foundation. EX1 are a brand that cater for yellow, olive toned skin. The foundation is so beautifully natural, it is quite a thick formula that blends into your skin seamlessly, it doesn’t stay thick once you work it into your skin.
I would say this gives medium coverage that you can build on, my favourite way to build coverage with this one is adding layers using a beauty sponge to bounce it into the skin. I often wear this foundation to work and it is still brilliantly in place at the end of a 10 hour day!
So long lasting, good coverage and beautiful finish! All that was missing was a wider shade range, as there were only 5 shades originally. (F100, F200, F300, F400 and F500). This has now been expanded to include 12 new shades (1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and so on).
I bought one of the new shades, I chose 2.0. This is described to be for ‘pale tones with light yellow undertones’.
This is so lovely on my natural skin tone ( although I haven’t been away this year and my skin is currently even paler than usual!!) The easiest place to buy this is from Look Fantastic which I’ve linked here. It costs £12.50 which is such a brilliant price, I could imagine paying double for this foundation.
As you can see from the swatches, the 2.0 shade on the left is so much lighter than the original F100 shade on the right. I’m so pleased they have these new shades!
I prefer a yellow toned foundation on my skin because most of the reason I wear foundation is to hide redness and I feel as though yellow tones help counter this better thanpink tones.
Also, now that I have two shades I can mix them to get the perfect shade throughout the year (and different stages of self tan!).
I think that is everything! I hope this post was helpful, I think the new shades were released only recently so I hadn’t seen a lot of people talking about this yet. Definitely try to get your hands on this one if you can, it is one of my favourite foundations.
I agree, if i do wear foundation ill gravitate more towards yellow tones especially in the winter when the redness is more apparent. these seem good since it doesn’t lay on thick i hate when foundation looks cakey rather than natural! good product!

These new shades are such a welcome improvement!! I was the same-previous iterations of this formula have just been too dark for me-this is exciting, I love the consistency of this foundation!
