Evening Skincare Routine

I recently chatted about my favourite products to use each morning, so today I am sharing my evening skincare routine.

At the moment, I’m not using too many products – I know I want to add the Pixi Glow Tonic into my routine soon, that one is on my wish list! But keeping it quite simple seems to work for my skin.

So first I cleanse my skin with the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm which I absolutely love, it feels really nourishing yet still leaves my skin feeling super clean. (full review here)

If I need some extra moisture, I use some of The Body Shop Vitamin E Facial Mist , although I don’t do this step every time, only if my skin feels lacking in moisture. (Full Review here)

Next, I like to use a serum. My current favourite is the Botanics Super Serum Triple Age Renewal. This one feels so lovely as it sinks into your skin. It feels soothing and nourishing which is so important when you have dry skin! Plus any skincare that fights against signs of aging is good in my books. I’m only 19, but to me, it makes sense to try and prevent skin issues rather than fix them afterwards. That is the idea anyway haha!

To use in conjunction with the serum, I am currently loving the Botanics All Bright Hydrating Night Cream. I’ve done a full review on this cream before (review here) and so I won’t go into too much detail! But it is a brilliant, affordable night cream that contains AHA’s which leave you feeling like you have lovely, smooth, fresh skin by the morning! It doesn’t feel sticky or leave a residue which is great too.

An extra step I like to do (when I remember!) is use my Mavala Double Lash, just adding a quick coat to my lashes. The evening is the only time when I really use this, even if it doesn’t double your lashes, it conditions and helps keep the lashes you already have feeling looked after! (full review here)

The final step for my evening skin care is applying my Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm, as I said in my morning skin care post, this is my all-time favourite! ( full review here )I love using this one last thing at night as you can still feel it on your lips the next day, like it has been protecting and moisturising your lips over night

I love the Nuxe lip balm! My only issue with it is that it doesn’t make the best base for lip products, but it’s perfect for overnight xx

It’s great isn’t it! I find that too – if I apply it during the day I have to remove before lip products really! Xxx

I love anything that works to fight against aging skin too. You’re a smart girl, I definitely agree even when I was 19 such as yourself (and even younger) my mom always told me to take care of me skin while young so that as the older you get the less you have to worry about! And I can say that I’ve fully committed and still continue to use anti-wrinkling or age renewing products; seems to work well so far!

Aw thank you! Yeah that seems to be the best advice doesn’t it! Makes sense to prevent the problem rather than fix it afterwards☺️ exactly, and there’s definitely no harm in it! Xxx

I recently purchased that Clinique balm! It’s my favourite! I’ve also tried the Botanics night cream before, and it’s really nice 🙂 x
