I can’t believe that November is finished already, this year is nearly over! I’m definitely not complaining though, my favourite month of the whole year is finally here, can you tell I am excited for Christmas?
I’ve been using a mixture of beauty picks over the last month, so I’m sharing them here today. Bring on December!
First up, I have re-discovered an old favourite, this is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade 93, Creme de Nude. This is amazing as a base for any eyeshadow look. It evens out the lid, meaning it is a great, neutral shade that enhances any shadow you put on top.
I find that I wear a lot more eyeshadow in the winter, I think I just like no-fuss makeup when it is hot in summer! Anyway, more shadow means I’ve been reaching for this a lot. I either apply it with a small, eye buffing brush or just use my ring finger to pat it onto my eyelids. For only a few pounds, this is a great base!
Next is the L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask. This is really amazing for detoxifying your skin, it really does feel like it draws out impurities and leaves my skin feeling so squeaky clean!
I could imagine paying at least double for this product as it really does feel like a high end product. I tend to use this about once a week, I have dry skin so I don’t like to use to many non-hydrating masks. I also love the glass packaging, it feels really sleek. ( full review here)
I’ve been reaching a lot for the Stay Precise Felt Tip Eyeliner from No7 in a brown shade. I got this in a gift set last year, but I didn’t ever really get into using it – I usually go for a really intense black liner and this felt too subtle.
But I have been using this a lot recently! Brown liner is a lot more natural, and I reach for this when I want a neutral eye look, or just to mix things up a bit rather than always using black.
I used this Elf Mineral Lip Gloss pretty much every time I wore makeup this month! This is in the shade Bare, which is a lovely natural, subtle shade. I talked all about my new love for lipgloss here and this one is included in that post.
Non-sticky and long-lasting, a lovely gloss to wear alone or on top of a lipstick to add a sheen. They don’t sell this precise gloss anymore on ELF, but they have a lot of similar ones on their website!
Another old favourite that I have dug out of my collection recently has been the Mayblline Lash Sensational. Maybelline do the best mascaras ever! One of my very first blog posts was a review of this mascara, I’ve loved this one since it first came out.
It gives such a beautiful lash effect, giving a pretty, fanned out look to the lashes, whilst being really dark in colour for a dramtic but not spidery look. Love it!
A brush favourite of November has definitely been the Real Techniques Setting Brush. This is such a handy, multi-use brush! I use it nearly every day, and I’ve had no shedding of bristles and it washes brilliantly.
I love it for blending out and setting concealer as well as applying highlight to the high points of my face – it picks up just the right amount of product.
Finally, a bit of a more random favourite! I’ve started using the Heel Genius Foot Cream from Soap & Glory. I love putting this one last thing at night, then popping some socks over the top. This is a magic combination to make your feet super soft! I’m sure a lot of other foot creams would work too but I just love the scent and consistency of this one. Here I’ve just included a few swatches, Maybelline Colour Tattoo on the left, the ELF gloss in the centre and the Stay Precise Liner on the end!
Just as a side note, I want to apologise for the photos at the moment, I’m getting to grips with editing with a different software! The quality will improve soon I promise, thank you for sticking with it! Xx
