Review: No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush

SONY DSC

I have been using my new No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush, which I was so kindly given as a Christmas present, so I wanted to share my initial thoughts and review on it! It retails at around £25 at Boots, both in-store and online.

I haven’t owned an electronic facial cleansing brush before so I was so excited to try this! I have always liked the idea of using a Clarisonic but the price tag always put me off. This seems like a brilliant, budget dupe, especially if you want to try an affordable version to check you like it first.

It has two speeds, I think more sensitive skin will work better with the gentle speed to avoid irritation. In fact, the brush isn’t recommended for very dry or very sensitive skin, so best to avoid if you have either of those skin types!

So to use, you simply apply your cleanser to your face as you normally would and then use the brush on either speed setting to really work the product into your skin, and then rinse away. Simple! The device itself isn’t waterproof, but I don’t think this matters as it is only the brush face that you get wet!

So my initial thoughts? I love it! Honestly, the first time I used this my skin felt so squeaky clean, without feeling totally stripped or dry. I did feel like I needed moisturiser after using it, but I really don’t mind that for how clean my skin felt after using it. It really feels like you are deep-cleaning your skin from all the makeup etc.

I have two refills to go with my device, as it is recommended that you replace the brush head after 3-4 months. You simply pull the old brush head off and replace with a new one.

I don’t think you would use this daily on your skin, especially if like me, your skin is more on the dry side. I will probably use this a couple of times per week, to thoroughly cleanse and exfoliate my skin. I think it would be also great to use before a face mask so that you can really get the effects of the mask as your skin will be super clean!

So I think that is everything! I hope this review was helpful, please let me know if their are any questions you have that I didn’t answer. I will check back in a month or so once I have been using it even more, to see the long term effects of using it. Please let me know your thoughts on electronic cleansing brushes – what do you think? xx

I’ve always wanted to try a cleansing brush scrub, growing up I’ve always watched my mom use them (she still does till this day) and her skin is flawless. I’m typically a wash my face with my hands but at the same time I’m so OCD about having clean hands so I feel like a brush would solve all my problems lol Great review, thanks for sharing!!
