Beauty Haul: LA Girl & Gerard Cosmetics

On Sunday I made a mini order on Beauty Bay of these two products that I have wanted for a really long time. I got the LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation, and another Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick.

After some drama with my parcel being delivered to the wrong house by accident, I finally got my parcel. Who else loves getting online deliveries to yourself? It feels like getting a present haha!

First I will talk about the foundation. I kept hearing about this foundation, a lot of people were saying it was great for dry skin and a dupe for the Makeup Forever HD foundation. I have never tried the Makeup Forever one, but I know it is a well loved product.

This foundation costs only £9, the same as most of the foundations you can find in Superdrug which is pretty affordable. I absolutely love the packaging too.

The foundation comes with a pump which is so handy! I got mine in the shade ‘Fair’ after looking at swatches online. I am going to do a full review of this foundation once I have used it and let you know my thoughts all about it.

Secondly, I decided to treat myself to another Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick. This time I went for the shade ‘Skinny Dip’. These were actually on 30% off on Beauty Bay so its worth having a look, I paid just over £8 for it.

I already have a blog post on these lipsticks because I love the formula so much, it was one of the first blog posts I wrote! They are so easy to wear on the lips, the name ‘Hydra Matte’ is perfect because they look matte but really don’t feel drying. They last for literally hours without needing to be topped up, they are my favourite range of liquid lipsticks.

The shade I went for was ‘Skinny Dip’ which is described as a ‘milky beige’ but I would say it is a really pink toned, slightly deeper nude. I absolutely love it. It is more wearable on an everyday basis than the other two shades that I love, so I feel like I will be reaching for this all the time now.

So that was my mini treat to myself this week, I will be back with full reviews of these products as soon as I have had a chance to try them out! Xx

Skinny Dip looks great, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like nude lippies! :))

The GC lipstick looks really pretty! I must try one! Also looking forward to your review of the foundation. I’ve seen a few positive reviews on them, but I’d love to see more!

I love the idea of a milky beige, but you can definitely see the pink undertone….but from the swatch, I think I’d love the color! Is it lasting for being matte?

I used it today, I absolutely loved it! Yeah, the hydra matte range are my favourite for lasting power, yet somehow they are still really comfortable to wear, love it xxx

Love both of these! I’ve been looking for a foundation recently so I might have a look at this one, especially if it’s good for dry skin! And that lip colour is such a beautiful shade ☺️ xxx

Thank you! I have used it a few times already and it is such a lovely one for dry skins, glowy but with really decent coverage! Xxxxx
