I feel like beauty oils are definitely shining out at the moment as one of the must -have editions to all of our skin and hair care routines. Incredibly beneficial for those with dry skin to really provide that deep hydration that drier skin types often crave, as well as for oilier skins – adding oil yourself means your skin should stop needing to produce so much oil itself. You know, fight fire with fire.
I have dry skin myself, but I’ve included hair care favourites here too so there is something for everyone! The oil products I’ve featured are the best I have tried, my tried and tested favourites.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Purpose Dry Oil
This has to be the best all-round beauty oil. This is suitable for face, body and hair. My favourite use has to be using it as a facial oil. It makes my skin silky smooth, absorbs pretty quickly but keeps my skin feeling moisturised. This is my go-to when I am suffering with dryness. It helps get rid of any dry patches with a few uses. I also love this for my cuticles to stimulate nail growth, as well as through the lengths of my hair. This smells amazing too. The perfect all-rounder.
Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil
This one is specifically a hair oil, but still has multiple uses. I love using this one as a pre-shampoo treatment, applying it to my hair and leaving as a masque over night. This gives my hair a real shine, it does it’s job brilliantly. I also like using a couple of drops through the ends of my hair, especially after I have curled it, to smooth everything down.
Pixi Glow Mist With Propolis & Argan Oil
I discovered this back in December and I have used it pretty much daily since. I know this is a facial mist, but it contains argan oil – meaning it really gives that boost of moisture that any oil product can. I already know I loved argan oil, but I had to research what propolis was though! (it comes from bees, turns out they don’t just make honey!) Again, this is multi-use. It can be used as a quick hit of hydration before makeup, to set makeup, to boost skin during the day, even on the ends of your hair!
The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil
Finally is an old favourite. I have bought this product repeatedly for the last 3 or 4 years, I’m never without it! The serum-in-oil formula is so lovely, especially for drier skins as it feels like it really works deeply into your skin. I know it is called ‘overnight’ but I often use a little of this in the morning under my moisturiser for a hydrating makeup base. It definitely recharges skin’s moisture, a must-have in my skin-care routine.
So those are my top 4 picks of the beauty oils! Have you got any favourite oil-based beauty products?
