It has been a while since I’ve had a beauty shopping spree, but last week I popped into Superdrug and bought all sorts of new makeup and skin products so today I wanted to share everything with you! Superdrug always have a range of good offers on beauty, usually 3 for 2 on brands which I definitely made the most of.
I bought the Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Foam. I have wanted to try this for such a long time, as I adore the Bondi Sands Dark Foam (full review here) but I love the concept of the gradual tan foam. It is a clear, moisturising mousse that you can slowly build up a colour with. I am so excited to use this tonight, I will update soon on my thoughts!
I chose the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in ‘Intense Black’. This is probably one of my favourite high-street mascaras. In fact, most of my favourite mascaras are from Maybelline! This one gives really dark, defined, curled lashes that have good volume and stay in place all day. I feel like this mascara really makes the most of your natural lashes.
I also bought the Freedom Brow Pomades for just £5. I bought this to test if it was a dupe for the ABH Dip Brow Pomade so I have a full blog post on ‘Testing Dupes – Anastasia vs Freedom Brow Pomade‘ with all my thoughts and comparisons. This is a lovely colour for warmer tones brunettes without looking orange, really nice.
I have had my eye on the Maybelline lipstick in the colour ‘Tantalizing Taupe, 725’ for a long time but hadn’t gotten round to buying it until now. It is slightly more ‘taupe’ looking than in the photo- it is a pretty, neutral pink-nude colour. I have already worn this a few times since I got it and it looks lovely with any makeup look it seems! The formula is perfect too, not drying at all.
Another one from Maybelline! This is the Lasting Drama 24Hr Gel Eyeliner. This is my first time trying out a gel liner, but I have heard this is one of the best affordable options so I can’t wait to see what it is like! The formula looks really black and creamy, plus the set comes with a dual ended brush to apply it with. Review will be coming soon!
I always pick up a Batiste Dry Shampoo when they are on offer – the big bottles are much better value for money as they last a lot longer. I chose the ‘Original’ version this time for a bit of a change – usually I get the pink bottle! This is my favourite dry shampoo ever, it is the most effective one I have tried yet, love it.
Finally, I bought the Vaseline Spray Moisturiser in ‘Aloe Soothe’. The Vaseline moisturisers are all brilliant, but the spray formula is so quick and easy. I thought the aloe one would be good for spring and summer (especially as I am so pale and burn easily!) These are also great to use with fake-tan as they are oil-free so simply make your tan last much longer without getting dry.
