First Impressions: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash

Micellar water is one of my favourite beauty products. I have been using different micellar waters for about three years now, but have always come back to the reliable favourite – the Garnier water. So when I saw they had a brand new product I was so excited to pick it up!

So, this is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Gel wash for sensitive skin. The idea is that it will remove all traces of makeup and dirt from the skin, leaving it natural and smooth rather than stripped and dry. You apply onto wet skin and use as you would any other face wash.

So onto initial thoughts! I am already impressed with this. I have only used it a couple of times – I still like to use some micellar water on a cotton pad to remove mascara ( I wear several coats so I always like taking mascara off this way!). Next, I wet my face and massage a pump or so of this into my skin. It literally breaks down the makeup as you work it into the skin. I love the way that this doesn’t go crazy and foam up, it simply works to melt away your makeup. I removed it with a damp face cloth and then rinsed my skin. After use, my skin felt soft and supple – like my natural skin! Not overloaded with product, nor stripped of moisture, just lovely and clean.

I feel like this would be ideal for anyone wanting to clean bare-faced skin, or for double cleansing to thoroughly clean your skin. I have dry skin and have had no problems so far, but I feel like combination or oily skin types could use this without issues too!

I can’t wait to try more of this, I will update you soon to let you know how I get on as I continue to use it.

I know what you mean, I have very dry skin too! A great moisturiser to math is the Garnier Moisture Match in the pink tube – probably the most nourishing moisturiser I’ve ever tried! Xxx

The only thing I didn’t like about this is that it stung my eyes so bad!

Ahh I didn’t actually use it on my eyes! I always use the water to remove my eye makeup as I find it’s the most gentle – I will definitely keep that in mind! X

I wouldn’t normally either except that it specifically said to use it on the eyes! I learnt a valuable lesson 😉
