Everyone tends to fall into three categories – shower people, bath people and those who like a mix. I fall into the third – sometimes only a bubble bath will do. The best treat of all is a ‘proper’ bath. With candles, bubbles and a bath bomb!
Through the winter, I love having a bath to relax at the end of the day. If I know I have a not-so-good day coming up, I always like to have a bubble bath as a treat once its done. Lush Cosmetics create the best bath bombs I have ever tried, without a doubt.
From the signiture scent when you walk into Lush, to the brown paper bags, their products feel comforting and familiar. A suprise parcel landed on my doorstep last week – my lovely boyfriend had sent a selection of amazing bath bombs to me on my day off! It was such a kind treat that completely cheered me up after a not-so-good week.
Twilight Bath Bomb
This is a bit of an added extra really. As the parcel was a complete suprise to me, I had actually popped into Lush the day before, to buy myself one as a little pick me up! I chose the Twilight bath bomb. Working a five minute walk from a Lush store is very dangerous. Hard to resist really.
The main scents of this one are lavender and tonka. If you need to chill out, this is the perfect bath bomb to treat yourself to. Despite the pastel shades at the beginning, you’ll end up with a deep purple bath to sink into! Of all the bath bombs I now have to try, this has to be the most relaxing scent.
Cheer Up, Buttercup
This would win the award for cutest name. It really will cheer you up. The bright, sunny yellow smells fresh and zesty! You can notice the lemon and lime, there is also neroli in there too! I’ve used this bath bomb already, and it left my skin feeling incredibly smooth, so the oils in this definitely do their job.
With blue cornflowers on the top, it is such a sweet one to try. Perfect if you like having a bath in the morning/day time as the scent is so refreshing.
This one made me happiest of all. I utterly love Christmas, and Lush have managed to capture, the cosy scent of the festive season in this bath bomb. My boyfriend knew how much I’d love this one!
It smells spicy and warm, but still soft. You can smell the clove, with ginger to make things extra cosy. This simply smells like Christmas to me. I might force myself to wait until mid-November at the earlist to use this one.
Does anyone else have Christmas Eve traditions? I always have a hot bubble bath, with a Lush bath bomb and then pop on some brand new pyjamas. So cosy.
I love the idea of this one – inside this dragon’s egg is pure gold! It smells fresh and citrusy – like sherbert, which reminds me of being younger. There is popping candy, and its like there is treasure inside.
Again, a perfect one for when you need to feel awakened! I can’t wait to use this one on a Sunday morning. Nothing better than a lazy Sunday.
Another winter one! Thundersnow is the most vivid blue shade, so I was so excited to see how it would work. With peppermint and cocoa, it smells like a mint hot chocolate. What could be better?
It fizzes into a beautiful blue shade. The colour you used to colour in the sea with in drawings as a child! I’ve actually split this one in half to so I can get two baths out of it.
I think I might have to pop into the shop soon to find a couple of the Halloween bath bombs and bubble bars. I love a good seasonal product.
