I have a growing collection of Autumn candles. There is just something so cosy about burning a deliciously-scented candle, curling up to watch a film with a hot chocolate.
The lovely Millie, from Melia May Candles has very kindly sent me some of her Autumn collection to try out! The candles and melts came so beautifully packaged box, it felt like Christmas had come early. If you love candles too, you’ll know how exciting new scents are.
Pumpkin Pie candle.
The Melia May candles are made of soy wax, and I’ve been trying out the scent ‘Pumpkin Pie’. If ever there was an October-themed candle, it would be this one!
It smells so lovely and rich. The strongest scent is the pumpkin, with a delicious sweetness without being sickly. You can really smell the sugar, with cinnamon in there too, which has an amazing depth. To me, this candles smells like October baking, in a warm kitchen with an open fire. So cosy and homely.
Melia May candles have an amazing, strong scent throw. If you prefer something slightly lighter, you could definitely use this candles without even burning it. The unlit candle scents the room in a more subtle way. I really hope Millie launches some festive candles too, I can just imagine having one of these candles for each season! I love orange and clove Christmas candles.
If you change up your room fragrance more often, then wax melts are the perfect answer. I already had a burner to use, so I was all set to try these candles! The scents I have are:
Bubble Gum: Smells absolutly incredible. Spot-on bubble gum scent – sweet and fresh. I think everybody would love this one!
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles: These are very similar to the large wick candle. A slightly sweeter version, with lots of rich cinnamon. Really does smell like pumpkin waffles. Yum.
Pomegranate Cider: This scent is sweet, fruity and smells good enough to eat.
Bakewell Tart: I can’t believe how close to the real thing these smell. If you like cherries and bakewell tarts, I think you’ll find these hard to resist.
Pumpkin Spice Latte: The ultimate Autumn blogger candle?! Despite not being a coffee drinker, I actually really love the smell of these.
The candles are really affordable. The wax melts retail at less than £2 each, and the large candle is around £6! There is something lovely about buying from an upcoming business. If you have some time, definitely have a browse of Millie’s personal blog too.
