I’m completely jumping in on the tassel earring trend! I bought a pair from eBay a few weeks ago – long red ones and love them. My wardrobe is mostly made up of neutral, layering pieces so it feels fun to wear something bright and colourful! I’d much rather wear bright pink earrings than a bright pink jumper.
Working near to a Primark is slightly dangerous for shopping reasons. I can’t help but have a look and see which new products thet have in store. I don’t often look at the jewellery in Primark – I tend to invest in good quality, silver jewellery rather than from the high-street. For trend pieces though, Primark is perfect. If the style doesn’t suit me, I don’t worry too much as I know I haven’t spent a fortune.
I spotted these amazing tassel earrings – the blue pair was £2, and the mauve ones £3. As far as I could see, they had a few other colours too. I’m not sure when I’m going to wear the blue ones yet! I have a few Christmas parties coming up, so I feel like they would look amazing with a white shirt, or tight black jumper. When it comes to earrings like these, I love them paired with a sleek, low, side parted ponytail and full coverage makeup. The mauve coloured earrings are much more wearable, I wore these to work on Saturday and lots of people commented on how nice they were. I love it when you’ve found a complete bargain that people love. I take great pleasure in saying “They’re only from Primark!!”
Style is a funny thing really. At one of my jobs, I work in a casual office enviroment, meaning that most days I end up feeling either under-dressed or over-dressed – I don’t always hit that happy medium! My favourite way to dress up an outfit is to add a pair of black, slightly heeled patent chelsea boots. This pointed pair I bought last year are still going strong and instantly smarten up a jeans-and-jumper look. I find it harder to dress for work in winter, as I end up putting a chunky cardigan or jumper over everything as I feel the cold!
I feel much more comfortable in a plain white shirt and jeans as a starting point. Then I’d add brightly coloured shoes, or a patterned coat, and jewellery. It probably says something deeper about my personaility that white, grey, nude, khaki and black tones make up most of my wardrobe. Any clothing experts here?! Let me know how differnet colours match with personailities – I’m sure it means something!
Have you tried tassel earrings yet?
